Meet Sinéad!
My passion for adolescent mental health is deeply rooted in my teenage years. The turmoil I faced as a teen sparked my curiosity and desire to understand the psychological challenges young people encounter.
As I recall the experiences of my adolescence, I am deeply grateful to those who guided me.
My mission is to guide teens so they can thrive in an increasingly complex world.
My Background
Through my journey and professional studies, I have accumulated extensive knowledge in this field, further strengthened by my work with teens and families.
Credentials:
Master’s in Adolescent Psychotherapy, DCTC with Northampton University
Bachelor’s Degree in Psychotherapy, MTU
Certificate 1 & 2 Social & Health Education Project
Higher Diploma in Nursing, UCC
The Heart of Teenzone
This project has been a real labour of love. Refining my craft as an adolescent psychotherapist has shown me that we need something bigger, something more collective.
Parents need the space to explore the nuances of guiding their teen, as so much of the support is pointed towards the early years. The aim is to deepen understanding of this critical developmental stage.
It’s time to normalise the complex feelings, experiences, beliefs, and challenges that often arise during adolescence, rather than prematurely assuming a problem. Teenzone provides the space to view these challenges as a natural part of growth.
Whether you’re a teen, a parent, a teacher, or a coach, Teenzone is a pioneer in supporting your navigation of the adolescent journey.
